Delhi was conferred the
status of as an independent state in the year 1992.
Delhi, the national capital is the hub of tourism in
north India. The metropolis has shown great developmental
progress in the recent years. Delhi is an important

After Mumbai and Kolkata, Delhi is the most populous

food and festivals, state administrative offices and
foreign offices.
The commutation is provided by buses, taxis, auto rickshaws
and Delhi Metro Subway. The privately owned buses and
those run by Delhi Transport Corporation are often over
crowded and pickpockets flock in these buses. The state
also has a domestic and an international airport. There
is also an extensive railway network in the state.
Delhi has an extreme climate with temperature touching
the 45 C mark in summers. It is recommended to visit
the state between October and March .
